Wind spinner aircraft faithful reproduction of the A10 Thunderbolt
Aircraft wind vane model A10 Thunderbolt Warthog, garden decoration and collectible.
Aircraft history:The idea of developing an aircraft dedicated to close air support came in 1966 to then USAF Chief of Staff John P. McConnell, who intended to combine the qualities demonstrated in the Vietnam War of the A-1 Skyraider with those of the A-7 Corsair II.
The A10 is a single-seat, twin-engine, straight-wing American ground attack aircraft. Developed by Fairchild-Republic around the GAU-8 Avenger cannon in the early 1970s.
It has good precision and maneuverability at low altitudes and low speeds. The ability to land and take off on short runways allows it to operate close to the front line, if necessary even at night thanks to the NVIS device. The thick armor allows it to withstand higher caliber projectiles, and the fuel tanks are covered in firefighting foam. Even if all six tanks were punctured, an emergency fuel system would come into operation, capable of providing fuel for 370 km of autonomy.
Wind vane data sheet:Dimensions 35x41x10 cm (14x16x4 inches).

Our History:“Air Hunter” small objects made to beautify the garden, but which are actually real wind turbines. Entirely built in Italy with first choice materials, our products are made of steel and aluminum. The integrated ball bearing ensures a smooth rotation of the aircraft body even with light breezes (360 ° swivel). Another special feature is the coloring of the surfaces. Each single print is in fact finished by hand, creating vintage shades and retouches that make it unique and unrepeatable. Air Hunter is assembled manually and with attention to detail. We supply the product already assembled, only the aluminum shaft remain to be assembled. To put the windmill into operation, simply drive the support rod into the ground or attach it to the balcony railing with the supplied zip-ties, the wind will do the rest. To obtain maximum performance, it is advisable to position the support as perpendicular as possible to the ground itself, possibly with the aid of a level. The product is made to withstand bad weather such as intense rain and wind. It is not recommended to use it in saline environments which could compromise its performance.
When you look at our products close your eyes for a moment and imagine that they are designed, painted, assembled and packed in our family ranch, a small wooden house hidden among the trees and smelling of pine. Our air hunters are not simple wind indicators, but collectible that will give an original touch to your garden.
